What Is the First Panoramic Camera Ever?

Panoramas are exciting: they are not too difficult too make, most often they look impressive, and people always like them. But have you ever thought about the world's first panoramic camera and the time it was invented?

The first patent for a panoramic camera was from Joseph Puchberger from Austria in 1843. The camera that you can see on the image above is a hand-cranked 150° field of view 8-inch focal length machine that could make daguerreotypes of up to 24 inches in length.
